[edit]The actual image [[Image:Camera.jpg|20px]] is a replacement icon. The template informs you about the new title matching with the previous image : “Image:Large format camera lens.jpg”. If you remove this template, the users cannot do the necessary changes. --Juiced lemon 13:07, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Question about duplicate images
[edit]Hello, I noticed your work on the File:Cercanias.svg image which appears to be duplicated by File:Cercanias_Logo.svg. It looks like both images are used on several different pages and each has their own development history. As I'm still learning about the various wiki sites and all the editing guidelines I thought it best not to take any action without checking here first. Is there any cleanup or maintenance needed? N8wilson (talk) 20:25, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hi N8wilson, I just did some cleanup, since the original file was a bitmap file inside a SVG, not a plain SVG. The logo is very simple and the other file seems to be even smaller, so there's no problem for me if you want to delete/replace File:Cercanias.svg. Cheers. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 17:12, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
- OK - so firstly I'm not on here often enough. I tend to stick to Wikipedia in my free time. Anyway, based on my reading deletion should be very very cautiously considered. So instead of tagging the image with a proposal for deletion I just marked it as superceded based on your comment about file size. Thanks for bringing the vector formats. :) Ciao! --N8wilson (talk) 23:23, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
- Seems the good way to go. Thanks. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 08:40, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
File:Cercanias.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
