Image Tagging Image:Garrasdeoro2.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Garrasdeoro2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Pay attention to copyright | Image:Vendedora.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. The Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content, that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You can ask questions about Commons policies in Commons:Help desk.
The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a copyright violation, please explain why on the image talk page.

Etiquetando imagen Image:Shakira at private performance.jpg
[edit]
Gracias por subir Image:Shakira at private performance.jpg.
Saludos. Edub 09:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Images of money
[edit]Hi. Some countries have laws which makes money PD and thus a image of a bill can be licensed as pleased by the photographer. For the countries where this isn't the case any such photograph is a derivative work of a copyrighted image and thus subject to deletion. The fact that many similarly problematic images exist on Category:Money by country is not a defence. /Lokal_Profil 21:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Jojoy.jpg
[edit]Hello Chien. I deleted the file according to Patstuart's reasoning and the rationale of Osama's deletion. It is (a little) possible that the image was taken as you say (during the peace talks) but we are not sure of that. These images are usually copyrighted and used as there are no other photos to identify the wanted people. That's why the State Department warns: Please note that many photos used on this website are copyrighted. Otherwise it would stop at the "alt tag" part. The photos that are surely public domain are at their photo gallery: they have date and attribution and are the ones we use. Responsibility for information about copyright of an image is with the uploader, not with me. If you want better reasoning at the Deletion request, sure, I' ll add it right away. If you still doubt the reasoning, you can make an Undeletion request. Thanks - Badseed talk 01:25, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Image Tagging
[edit]Hi Chien. I noticed you tagged the following image for deletion:
I would like to know on what grounds the image is nominated for deletion. The Juan Valdez logo is a logo of a non for profit organization called Asociacion Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia. This association is conformed by the peasants of Colombia and is being used in an article related to such topic. The logo is an SVG version of a former rasterized image not suitable for a logo. Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Chien. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Chien~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
Community Liaison, Wikimedia Foundation
