User talk:Ceranthor/Archive 1
Our first steps tour and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki—it is really easy. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel irc:wikimedia-commons #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Aaron McCargo
Hello. Thanks for getting Image:Aaron mccargo jr.jpg. Once you've forwarded permission to the permissions OTRS, please add {{Otrs pending}} to the image description page so everybody knows it's in the works. Thanks. WODUP 16:12, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- What do you mean? --Meldshal42? 23:51, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- You said that the image is licensed under the GFDL, but there is no proof that Food Network agreed to license it. We need a link to the page where you got the image that says it's GFDL (the current link is dead), or, if you asked Food Network to freely license it, forward your request and their response to the OTRS team at permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. If you made a mistake and the image isn't freely licensed, you can ask that the image be deleted by adding {{speedy|not freely licensed, uploader request}} to the image description page. If you do nothing, the image will be deleted sometime around August 22. If there's anything I can do to help or if you have any questions, you can post here; I'll watch this page. Cheers, WODUP 01:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Edith J. Carrier Arboretum Photos Significant.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. |
