CrossFire
[edit]Hello. I delete screenshot about this game. CrossFire is not a free software, you can't take free screenshot with agreement of the owner, and Wikimedia Commons only allow open and free (as free software) content. If you have an agreement of the owner, take a look at Commons:OTRS. Thanks. ~ bayo or talk 09:11, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- I also delete image of Pikachu, a copyrighted character. ~ bayo or talk 09:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
I got it, and thanks for reminding me of the deletion! Ccyber5 (talk) 10:12, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
And as for CrossFire image, I've already made it through Non-free use media rationale and done it with a Non-free game cover and its icon after I ensured that the use of the image didn't violate any Wikipedia policy for sure. It was my mistake that I initially chose the wrong licensing for this image. Ccyber5 (talk) 10:19, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, you can upload image like that on Wikipedia English, i dont know about Wikipedia Chinies (each Wikipedia use is own image policy) ; but you can't on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia Commons only allow free content, freely editable, freely usable in a commercial context. Its hard to have video game screenshot or manga in Commons :) ~ bayo or talk 12:05, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Urumqi
[edit]Thank you for adding your photos of Urumqi from last September. Since you have lots of other Urumqi pictures, I trust that you took this yourself and didn't find it elsewhere. May I ask, just out of curiosity, how you were able to take those pictures of the armed police--did you need to keep your camera hidden? Also, how did you get online to upload the photo...are you outside of Xinjiang right now?
(You can respond here or at en:User talk:Rjanag, either is fine with me.) rjanag ([[User talk:Rjanag|talk) (contact me on en-wiki) 17:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'd better respond here, because, as I've tried, attempting access to your page will touch off blockage by GFW. I took the photos when I was on my vacation in Urumqi. And i just photographed on my way, when I see some other pedestrians did so; it didn't seem any big deal to the armed police if you don't let them directly catch sight of your behavior. For the other questrion, of course, I am not currently in Xinjiang because Internet access is still unavailable there. But news has come out that communication and Internet services in Xinjiang will recover, as I have added in the Wikipedia article. Ccyber5 (talk) 17:37, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks! I was just curious. Best, rjanag (talk) (contact me on en-wiki) 06:05, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Urumqi logo 01.png
[edit]Your photos are very interesting for a man who hasn't ever been in China. There are also a fine logo and a schematic map by you, but it wolud be better load them in the vectorised SVG format. It is possible directly from the Adobe Illustrator. Kaboldy (talk) 03:42, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Ccyber5. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Ccyber5~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

File tagging File:WLMQ Cellphone screenshots 2v1.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:WLMQ Cellphone screenshots 2v1.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:WLMQ Cellphone screenshots 2v1.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
