Well, Eugene, I'm trying, but I don't succeed - my pictures are free to use for everybody - it seems as if you have categorised them (kites), thats fine, thank you - and the City Hall should come in under 'denmark' - I can't find a suiteable subcategory...(?) - my tag is carstenwm as the username - but I can't seem to be able to edit the text....I'll be back - perhaps i'll then understand how to do it...(sorry) carstenwm 16:44, 31 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Al begyndelse er svær - der går ikke så lang tid før du er inde i det Carsten :-) Der findes allerede en kategori:Denmark her i Commons. Har du et billede du f.eks. gerne vil have i kategorien:Fanø så tilføj på billedets side: [[Category:Fanø]] Når du gemmer billedsiden vil dette kategorilink blive rødt, hvis det ikke allerede er oprettet. For at oprette det trykker du på det røde link og skriver derefter en tekst i redigeringsboksen, der knytter din kategori til en overkategori - i dette tilfælde kunne du f.eks. skrive [[Category:Denmark]]. Når din nye kategori er knyttet til en eksisterende overkategori er den aktiv.
Med hensyn til licenserne er det svært at vejlede, da jeg jo ikke kan bestemme hvilken licens du skal publicere dine billeder under - men der opfordres på Commons til at man udgiver sine billeder under de to frie licenser {{GFDL}} og {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} (skriv bare licenserne som de står her direkte på billedets side). I korte træk udgiver du dermed dine billeder under frie licenser, hvor du dog stadig har ophavsretten. Bl.a er det en betingelse at du bliver krediteret for dit arbejde, at dine billeder må bruges af alle - også kommercielt og at andre må rette i dit arbejde - altså også i billederne!
Med hensyn til at holde rede på sine billedupload er det nemmeste bare at bruge linket i menuen til venstre "Brugerbidrag". Hvis du synes kan du også oprette et galleri på din side med alle de billeder du uploader til Commons. Galleriet er nemt at lave - hvis du kikker i redigeringsvinduet kan du se hvordan det er stillet op lige her:
..osv. Jeg kan se du allerede har prøvet at sætte ind i et galleri på siden om Fanø her i Commons.

Jo, i allerhøjeste grad - spørgsmålet er om jeg så også har lært at gøre det ordentligt - jeg ved, at jeg mangler at lære at 'kategorisere' hvorfor jeg åbner en side ('mindre ændring' osv.) og beskrive selve ændringen (jamen, jeg kommer i tanker om at jeg da vist skulle gøre det lige efter jeg har trykket på ' save page' [..suk..]...) - håber ikke det er for stort besvær for Jer 'bagved' dette...Carstenwm 12:01, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jeg har nu oprettet en Fanø-kategori (ikke den der kommer frem ved tryk på linket - se i stedet Browse-linket til Fanø i bunden af siden her - fatter ikke lige hvorfor jeg ikke kan lave et internt link til den af mig oprettede side) hvor de fotografier jeg har uploadet ligger i, men der var i forvejen kategorier for Fanø og byerne Nordby og Sønderho (med overskriften Fanø i 'Articles in category "Cities and villages in Denmark"') - kan du eller andre hjælpe mig med at få hægtet dem sammen eller flyttet fotografierne derover ? - Jeg er godt'nok lige lidt ude at svømme her.....Carstenwm 19:01, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hei, hyggelig at det er noen fra Fanø her. Jeg ferierte der hvert år som barn, og har tatt noen korte turer i senere år også, når jeg har feriert ved Blåvand. Det er forskjellige måter å samle bilder på: I kategorier eller på sider, eller på begge måter. Det er ingenting i veien for å la dem ligge båe i kategorien og på siden, og så kan de som skal bruke bildene velge hvilken måte de leter dem frem på. Jeg legger derfor mine bilder i kategorien, så alle bildene kommer frem på begge steder. Cnyborg 19:01, 19 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hej, jamen så har du jo måske medre kendskab til Fanø end jeg - har bare boet her i 12 år :-> Godt at der nu kommer flere fra Norden - men du startede da meget tidligt med at komme her (?). Jeg forstår ikke helt dette med 'kategorier' og 'sider' i Commons - kan bare finde den du oprettede offentligt, når jeg søger, og så mine fotografier på min side med 'my contributions' og ad den vej finder jeg så den jeg oprettede da jeg lagde billeder op første gang.....Tilføjelse: nu kan jeg se, at der er links til begge typer sider - alt ok nu! Your account will be renamed

Hello,

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Carstenwm. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Carstenwm~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
