Image reviews

[edit]

Hi Dr. Kenneth Carpenter.

It is wonderful to see a major palaeontologist participate at Wikipedia!

I rencently made a restoration of one of your dinosaurs and published it on the dinosaur image review page. Would you be interested to look at it? Conty~enwiki 15:44, 23 March 2021 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Conty~enwiki (talk • contribs) 14:44, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Very nice Carpenter, Kenneth (talk) 17:09, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Dr. Carpenter. However, those of us at the image review are interested to hear your opinion on how scientifically accurate the images are: for instance, we have been in disagreement on whether Gargoyleosaurus had a beak and how the forelimbs of Sinovenator (also on the review page)? Conty~enwiki 20:22, 27 March 2021

Yes, Gargoylrodsurus probably had a beak. The premaxillary teeth are inset a little from a sharp cutting edge of the premaxillae. Also, the outer surface shows the same pitting and nutrient grooves seen in more advanced forms, like Gastonia. Carpenter, Kenneth (talk) 21:18, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Dr. Carpenter! Conty~enwiki 20:22, 27 March 2021

Hi dr carpenter. I just had a question

[edit]

Dear Dr Carpenter, do you by any chance have a copy of Dueling dinosaurs. Priroda 1974? Thanks and regards, Pranav Iyer--No harm intended (talk) 23:10, 31 August 2021 (UTC) I do, but unfortunately my entire research library is in storage. I am currently operating with PDFs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carpenter, Kenneth (talk • contribs) 23:37, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
