RE: Removing 2022 Category
Hi, I had no idea it was already removed once. As for me, I removed it per COM:OVERCAT, since the photos are already in Category:BTS at The White House, and BTS in 2022 is its parent category. --Chiyako92 (talk) 15:46, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
File:220602 르세라핌 대면 팬사인회 즈하, 채원, 꾸라, 윤진, 은채 단체 컷.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Thanks for uploading File:220602 르세라핌 대면 팬사인회 즈하, 채원, 꾸라, 윤진, 은채 단체 컷.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

A license release is irrevokable. Once an image is confirmed as having a compatible license, it does not generally matter if the original site changes the license or ceases to exist altogether. DMacks (talk) 03:48, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- From my experience, I had uploaded an image that had a license previously but then was revoked, and the second image got delete as the license was long gone. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 03:58, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Feel free to raise that issue for that image you are talking about. But it's not true that a free license—one that is acceptable to Commons—can be revoked. The host can change what they say on their site, or stop hosting it, but it doesn't change the historical fact. Part of the CC license summar is "The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms." The actual license term is "Licensor hereby grants You a...perpetual (for the duration of the applicable copyright) license" DMacks (talk) 15:53, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
File:L Infinite 2012.jpg, File:TOP in 2012.jpg
Hi. It's not my fault it takes Commons 10 years to check a licence. The licence existed at the time of uploading, and it's not revokable. This is the last archived version of the main page, you can see the cc-by-sa licence at the very bottom https://web.archive.org/web/20140122012210/https://rokiei.tistory.com/ This blogger was well-known in Korea to attend concerts and fan events to take K-pop photos. He/she probably stopped that activity but that doesn't mean their past photos are now unlicenced. Xia (talk) 08:09, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
- Although the images have been archived, they cannot be viewed. I'm not sure if it can still be used when the images won't load, as it would be hard to confirm it under that license. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 08:24, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
Copyvio tagging
When you tag an image with {{Copyvio}}, you must prove that it is a copyright violation (COM:CSD#F1): "Content is a clear copyright violation, with evidence that no Commons-compatible licensing has been issued by the copyright holder." Generally that evidence comes in the form of a link to a copy of the image on the Internet which is both older than and of equal or higher quality than our version on Commons, with no free license at the external source. So a rationale consisting of mere speculation like "This isn't their own work" or "The Flickr account is someone just re-uploading images by SB19" is unacceptable for speedy deletion.
However, if you have suspicions about an image that do not rise to the standard of speedy deletion, feel free to file a regular deletion request. I have done so for you here: Commons:Deletion requests/File:(1) SB19 at PhilKorFest 2020 in front of Rizal Monument, Rizal Park, Manila on October 31, 2020.jpg. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:05, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Twice Images from Flickr
- I am putting my reply to your response to A1Cafel here, because they quickly removed our posts to their talk page [[2]]
@A1Cafel has also repeatedly engaged in this behavior towards me. For many months, they track my uploads in real time and then quickly upload Flickr "albums" that are chronologically next to the albums I have just uploaded. I then see the file duplicate warning message on my Upload Wizard tool and I know they intervened in my workflow.
- A1Cafel could go to any of thousands of Flickr accounts, but too often, purposely chooses to aggressively "compete"- on the same Flickr account- against other Commons Users/ Volunteers that are uploading Flickr photo files. This behavior seems to me to be contrary to a collegial and mutually-supportive atmosphere here on Commons.
- I want to thank you for sharing what you have experienced.
- You requested the they refrain from taking such actions again. You did not get the courtesy of a response.
- I also asked that they stop this behavior in the future. Also, I did not get any reply. They just deleted both of our comments as well as both our requests for positively alter their behavior or communicate better towards their Commons colleagues. Thanks, --Ooligan (talk) 17:00, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
