Please do not do over-categorization
[edit]When a category is in another category it is enough. You do not have to add that category to all single files again. Thank you --Sailko (talk) 17:38, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Sailko: Thanks for the message. When I start a category like I did with Category:Door Tree, I thought it was important to put that category in each file. On the encyclopedia I often add this to the articles: en:Door Tree. I see that you have reverted all of the work that I did adding categories to the files and I will have to rethink what I am doing if I am doing something wrong. Bruxton (talk) 22:07, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yes it is wrong to overcategorize. The most specific category is enough for files. The generic categories should be in the category. See how I fixed Door Tree. :) Thank you. --Sailko (talk) 14:06, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Flickr2Commons
[edit]I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool. To use it, you just need to go to the url and authorize it (where it says "authorise first").--A1Cafel (talk) 05:51, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- @A1Cafel: Thanks for the message. I was not familiar with the tool, and by the time I discovered it, I had already uploaded two photos. I will use it in the future. Bruxton (talk) 14:01, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
