Hello, 5th Oct 2006 This is a photograph showing Edvard Julius Breitholtz (1830-1912), a Swedish military general. I suppose the photographer, unknown to me, is dead by now, probably since more than 70 years, but I am not sure of that. The photo is being kept by the Swedish Breitholtz family union, Stockholm, with a copy at the Breitholtz Family´s library at the Royal Library of Sweden, Stockholm. If you would like me to get a permit to publish it in writing I could probably have that arranged. Yours sincerely, C A Breitholt abreitholtz@hotmail.com

This image is a photo from around 1950 of an oil painting from around 1830 of Claes Josef Breitholtz, a Swedish military officer, who lived 1788-1834. The photo of this painting is kept by the Breitholtz family union, based in Stockholm, and copies of it is kept at the Royal Library in Stockholm, Sweden. The artist, who is unknown to me, is of course dead since more than 100 years. I hope this will enlighten the problem to you. The biography and a portrait of Claes Josef Breitholtz can be seen on Wikipedia as follows:

Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and or licensing of this particular file. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Hello, 5th October 2006 I am not quite sure if it is here that one should discuss this image. Anyway, this is a gouache painting, painted by me, Carl Anders Breitholtz, a Swedish citicen, around 1980. This image depicts the coat of arms or family crest the Breitholtz family, which was nobilized in 1650 by Queen Christina of Sweden. This coat of arms was used by our family long before then, probably as early as the beginning of the 15th century. Of course I have the copyright to this particular image as painted by me, wheras the right to the coat of coat of arms as such is restricted only to the Breitholtz family by law. As there is much heraldry on the net however, I thought it could be of interest to publish it in connection to the article of the Breitholtz family on Wikipedia. Weather it is correct or not I don't know. So I beleive the best would be to delete this image. if you have any reason tobeleive in a differnet way, please let me know. Thank you. Yours faithfully, C A Breitholtz abreitholtz@hotmail.com
