Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. Do you own a lot of cameras?
[edit]Do you own a lot of cameras? You claim to have taken Image:Dziób 4 ORP Wodnik.JPG with an Olympus C730UZ, Image:Dziób ORP Wodnik.JPG, Image:Dziób 2 ORP Wodnik.JPG and Image:Dziób 3 Orp Wodnik.JPG with an HP PhotoSmart C812, and Image:PICT1965.JPG with a Minolta DiMAGE S414. Please note that it is a violation of copyright law to make false claims about the authorship of photographic works. —LX (talk, contribs) 20:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Authorship claims
[edit]
You have claimed to be the author of the files listed below. If you have uploaded a copyright violation and the copyright holder wishes to take legal action, you alone are legally responsible. The Mediawiki software keeps information about you which may be shared with lawyers.
Please help avoid unnecessary blocks and deletions by resolving this matter in one of the following ways:
- If the works are indeed your own, please upload high-resolution original files (rather than images scaled down to "web resolution") and clearly label the source of the files as being your own work. Again, you are solely responsible for such claims.
- If any of the files you have uploaded are not your own work despite your previous claims, please tag them with {{Copyvio}}, and they will be deleted by an administrator.
If your account is blocked, you will be temporarily unable to upload files to Commons. In the meantime, please read the licensing policy to make sure the content you upload is allowed. The duration of the block may depend on the number of files to be verified and the findings of the investigation. —LX (talk, contribs) 21:23, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Prosze, nie tworz pustych galerii na dluzej niz piec minut Szczepan talk 20:17, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Chrzest_HPIM5161.JPG
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Chrzest_HPIM5161.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Hello, you have categorized this images in Plogoff, Finistere. I do not recognize Plogoff and with the name Gibraltar and their mediterranena coast look, it seems to have a mistake. No ? TCY 13:24, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
