Hi BoonDock, I am sorry that I had to tag a number of your uploads as "missing permission". However, as you might (or not) be aware, book covers, which contain more than merely the title and author name, are copyrighted. Copyright holder is not necessarily the publisher or the book's author, but those who had originally created the works (photos, drawings etc.) used on the cover. So, in those cases in which you are the original creater of all works used on a certain cover, you shold state so in the author entry. In those, in which you are not, you need to provide a written permission from the original creator to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org . --Túrelio (talk) 08:14, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Deletions
[edit]Hi BD,
Goodness, Commons really did a number on you didn't they? All those book covers gone in one week. That's inexcusable man, if you published them to begin with you are perfectly within your rights to post them here. --Katangais (talk) 07:39, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- That's what I thought. I've been told I'm wrong. One user made the call and I have no idea how to appeal. Feels like deliberate targeting actually! BoonDock (talk) 07:49, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
