Help
[edit]I have uploaded a file (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Birthplace_of_Swami_Prabhavananda_Arnab_Dutta_2011.jpg) not knowing the copyright policy of Wikimedia Commons. That file is not mine, I found it somewhere in net. Now the owner of the file is objecting my uploading to this site. But I can't delete it now. Please help me by telling how can I delete files I once uploaded. BarunDutta (talk) 13:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping! :-) I have deleted it per Commons:Deletion requests/File:Birthplace of Swami Prabhavananda Arnab Dutta 2011.jpg and your request here. Please read Commons:Image_casebook#Internet_images and the intro of COM:L to learn about our copyright and free content policy. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 16:34, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
File:Birthplace of Swami Prabhavananda Arnab Dutta 2011.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
