User talk:BYF079
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

[edit]Hello
Are you author of designs presented in Image:Stade-Gabesien.gif and Image:CS M'saken.png? Or you are the person who digitized designs made by other people? --Leafnode 09:09, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Answer
[edit]Hi!
I've made Image:CS M'saken.png entirely but I've just cropped , not even digitized Image:Stade-Gabesien.gif for which I copied the same license the Author have used.

[edit]Hello
About To use only in articles related to Tunisian Football or sports in general. - either you agree on cc-by-sa-3.0 license, as you've tagged this image, or you use your own license, which is other than cc. cc-by-sa-3.0 states that you can use it everywhere - not only in wiki, not only in places related to sports. --Leafnode 13:10, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi mate! Can I bug you a bit and ask you to help me correct that licensing error. BYF079
- Sure. You are the author, so you can choose the license - but the license have to be 'compatible' with commons (see COM:L about this). If you want to allow this image only on wiki, you have to choose license other than cc-by-sa-3.0, because with that license anyone can do what they want with image - provided that it will also be on cc-by-sa-3.0 license and will include information about original author (you). --Leafnode 13:27, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
It's the same problem with File:CS Hammam-Lif-Shirt-2006.gif. The is no "wikipedia-only" license that would be permitted on Commons. Images uploaded to Commons have to be free to be used (more or less) everywhere and for (more or less) any purpose, including commercial use. Of course, if you want to avoid (but no guarantee) any non-online use, you could license it under GFDL, as this requires the whole license text to be printed besides the image.--Túrelio (talk) 14:35, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
