Hello Ayub407, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Mall of the Emirates.png

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

Warning sign
This media was probably deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Burjuman Logo.png, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file ([[:File:Burjuman Logo.png]]).

If you created the content yourself, enter {{Own}} as the source. If you did not add a licensing template, you must add one. You may use, for example, {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} or {{Cc-zero}} to release certain rights to your work.

If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

Hello Hedwig in Washington,

The file File:Burjuman Font.png is not my own work and I do not own this copyright so therefore this file should be deleted as soon as possible.
But the files, File:Blue Nol Card.jpg, File:Gold Nol Card.jpg, File:Red Nol Ticket.jpg, File:Silver Nol Card.jpg are just cards used for paying public transportation in Dubai and they are not under any copyright licensing. I have purchased these cards and I have scanned it for illustration purpose for the article Nol Card.
Yours sincerely, User:Ayub407

Sorry mate, those cards actually are under copyright. They have a design on them, not just plain text. You can't claim copyright on them. It might help if you read Com:L and Com:DW a little more. I know, it's a pain. :)
Forgot to ask you: What is Burjam? --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 14:12, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see. So, what should I do to keep these files from being deleted? :/
Burjuman is a shopping mall in Dubai. :) -- Ayub407
Haven't been to Dubai (yet) :(( I don't think there is a way to keep the files. You might be able to upload them locally to Wikipedias that allow fair use. Enwiki is one of them. Here's a list of Non-free content projects, (both local uploads and non-free content rows must say yes) Meta non-free content. --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 22:12, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Its okay. I'm sure one day you'll defiantly visit :) I see, then I'll re-upload these files once I get all the required information and I request you to delete all the files mentioned above as soon as possible. I also wanted to say thanks for helping me out here and I'm truly sorry for what I've have done. Regards. -- Ayub407
No problem at all. If you go through the Category:Dubai you'll find a lot of things that could use improvement. But be aware that there is no freedom of panorama in the UAE. More infos here: Com:FOP#United Arab Emirates. Best of luck! --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 03:38, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
