Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, Atluxity!

Hei Atluxity.

Atluxity 12:42, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-- Atluxity 10:32, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hans-Petter - thanks for taking the above image. I have just added it to the en:Bouncer (doorman) article, for, honestly, it seems to be one of the extremely few (good) pictures around that actually show doormen at work.

I have also done some light modification to it (a bit of a dodgy thing, with other people's photos, I know), such as taking the gamma correction slightly down - it was a bit too brightened and 'white-grained' in my opinion. If you object to my change, please revert it, and I will upload it as a new version instead. Regards and happy editing! Ingolfson 07:23, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for improving my image, and using it in articles, and thank you for your feedback. I see no problem with the modification you did, I am just grateful. Have a good day! -- Atluxity 13:20, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. It's now fixed. There was an implicit assumption that the file magic number would be available on the same packet as the http response, which the new file server broke. Platonides (talk) 15:40, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Dear Atluxity,

we would like to use your cod picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gadus_morhua-Cod-2-Atlanterhavsparken-Norway.JPG) for a pamphlet (around 1000 copies) informing about a European Research Project on Fish Populations.

The usage would be STRICTLY NON-COMMERCIAL.

We would of course refer to you as ©Hans-Petter Fjeld.

Could you please confirm that you agree on the provision of this photo for the above mentioned purpose.

Thank you very much and all the best,

AdEffimero (12/03/2009)

Sure, no problem! Would be nice if I could get a copy of the pamphlet, maybe in pdf? just for kick. -- Atluxity (talk) 16:38, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Hans-Petter,

of course!

Please have a look at "https://fishpoptrace.jrc.ec.europa.eu", and contact us via the "contact" link!

O.k., might be helpful to put some note/tag on your userpage. Image has been deleted accordingly. Cheers.--Túrelio (talk) 16:14, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Atluxity!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Hi Atluxity,
how comes that your File:Lost Weekend Campingområde.jpg was uploaded 2 months ago by someone else as File:Campingområde.jpg? --Túrelio (talk) 08:51, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems the author of the OTRS-ticket i am working on got inpatient and uploaded himself. "Campingområde" is such a common name that I did not think much of it that it was already taken. I will get a confirmation from the OTRS-ticket author before setting correct categories and such. -- Atluxity (talk) 08:55, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What's strange is, that the older upload was put under PD. May be you could also take a look into File:Lost Weekend 2009.jpg, whether the "own"-claim of the uploader is really credible. --Túrelio (talk) 08:59, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I will follow up on that. -- Atluxity (talk) 12:50, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Jeblad (talk) 19:43, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photo usage

[edit]

Hi, I've been working on a small game built around animal quizzes and I wanted to let you know I've used one of your pictures.

I found your picture here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gadus_morhua_Cod-2b-Atlanterhavsparken-Norway.JPG

And I attributed the picture like this: Hans-Petter Fjeld with this link: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Atluxity and also added a link to the license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/deed.en

I hope you're happy with it, please let me know if this is not the case. You can find the game here: http://apps.facebook.com/animalalbum Or through here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/AnimalAlbum/156339584490672

Kind regards, Garfunkel Jansen (talk) 09:00, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Thanks for taking the picture and making it available.

Thank you for letting me know. That sounds like the propper attribution. Good luck with the game, glad I could help. -- Atluxity (talk) 12:06, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Salmo salar-Atlantic Salmon-Atlanterhavsparken Norway.JPG

[edit]

Hello, I'm Magda from Poland. I work for non-governmental organization Klub Gaja (http://archiwum.klubgaja.pl/en/)

I've question about your photo which is on this site: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Salmo_salar-Atlantic_Salmon-Atlanterhavsparken_Norway.JPG - is it possible to use it for education exhibition ?

- can we (organisation) buy this photo from you ? - or is it enough that we sing the picture ?

best regards Magda

Hello Magda, thank you for taking the time to write to me. You are welcome to use my image. Please credit me as the photographer in a fitting maner, and please put a small notice there saying the image is free. Like "Photo: Hans-Petter Fjeld (License: CC-by-sa - from Wikimedia Commons)", if the image is on a webpage, then if the "Wikimedia Commons" text could link to the image here, that would be excellent! Hope this is not asking to much. I am glad to be able to provide a usefull image for your organization. -- Atluxity (talk) 06:22, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Polar Park Photos

[edit]

Hi,

You have some photos which you took at Polar Park listed as Polar Zoo. Are you able to rename them appropriately? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LittleForestTrøll (talk • contribs) 09:35, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out. I have requested a renaming for the relevant images. Atluxity (talk) 19:25, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
