A Short Hike screenshots
[edit]The screenshots you uploaded are from a game under the copyright of Adam Robinson-Yu. You could email him and ask whether he is OK with releasing the following screenshots under a free license:
- File:A Short Hike Screenshot 1.png
- File:A Short Hike Screenshot 2.png
- File:A Short Hike Screenshot 3.png
- File:A Short Hike Screenshot 4.png
Follow the steps explained in OTRS and you might be able to save your screenshots from being deleted.
If Robinson-Yu does not accept this, you can upload one of the above screenshots on the English Wikipedia for demonstration purposes. See this screenshot for such a fair-use example. —Dexxor (talk) 09:05, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Dexxor: Thank you very much. I got confused on the legality of video game screenshots and will take what you've said into consideration in the future. Leopard of the Snows (talk) 16:49, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- I'll be emailing Adam promptly.
- @Dexxor: Just to be clear, the email template only releases the rights to the screenshots and does not release any rights to the actual game, is that correct? Leopard of the Snows (talk) 23:38, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Leopard of the Snows: I went through the Wikimedia OTRS release generator, selected “I want to release the media work”, and got this:
This clearly states that you are releasing only the specified Commons images under a free license.I hereby affirm that I, name, am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of the following media work:

I agree to publish the above-mentioned work under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International - I do not have any experience with OTRS, though, and probably cannot assist you further. —Dexxor (talk) 15:15, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
