Manually coded SVG
Hi Anon126, you are drawing fine vector graphics. I had been looking for some of your files, and saw that something could be still simpler. I made some example alterations, so you can see what I am talking of. When I can help you, just ask! Good further success sarang♥사랑 08:22, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
OTRS user right
Hi,
Just a note you should ask for the OTRS userright over at COM:BN. This will prevent edits such as this being flagged for review. Thanks, --Mdann52talk to me! 12:23, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Mdann52: I thought I shouldn't bother the crats with something minor like this, but now that you mention it, I will. Anon126 (✉ ⚒) 13:26, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
World Aviation Categories
Hey Anon. Thanks for correcting the permissions on the World Aviation files. I have a few open question and was hoping you could help...
- Is there any way I can assign that permission correctly myself? I'll use it more later I suppose...
- Why aren't the PDF's thumbnailed? How do I fix that? Who can help me here?
- You removed some categories, like Category:Magazines about aviation from the pages, which does seem to be relevant. Why is that?
6th Common Sense (talk) 07:50, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, 6th Common Sense. I'll try to answer your questions in order:
- I've explained how to do that in my Special:Diff/143739341#World Aviation. This is the easiest way to do it. I apologize if it is unclear; please let me know where you are stuck and I will try to help you on this.
- I am not sure why the PDF files do not have thumbnails. You can ask at the village pump.
- The idea behind the category removals is that Category:World Aviation is already a subcategory of many of them. For example, you may notice that Category:Magazines about aviation has a link to Category:World Aviation. It is not recommended to place a file in both categories; this is known as overcategorization.

File tagging File:Gloria Brame 2.jpg
This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Gloria Brame 2.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
