re Pristis Pristis Image Issue
[edit]Hi Anasaitis,
I looked closely at the picture, and sorry I didn't see any barbels. If you look at it closely, you will see that this specimen is in bad shape; although it is preserved it shows decaying, and that filament at its mouth is either a fallen piece from the animal, or something belonging to another specimen from behind. Anyway the label showed Pristis pristis. Regards. DenesFeri (talk) 10:43, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the clarification. I couldn't tell from the image itself whether they were barbels or something else, so I didn't want to remove the image without checking with you. If that is indeed what the specimen label said, and the "barbels" were nothing more than fallen tissue or something from another specimen, then there is no reason to assume their was an error on you or the museum's part. I'll take your word for it and leave it be. I'd also like to thank you for the swiftness of the reply. I've found that trying to work with other users can be frustrating due to the fact that they are often slow to reply or busy with something else. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised by the swiftness of your response. If most of the others were like you, we wouldn't have as many problems as we do now. Thanks again!
