I just saw this picture in the flowers-QI-gallery and wanted to ask, if there could be a mistake with your identification (your two pictures really don't look like the others of Kolkwitzia amabilis). In my opinion it's a white Lilium martagon, but I'm no botanist...

        • When I was young (sixteen or so) there was a major exhibition in Lisbon named "Cem anos de pintura francesa" (100 years of French painting). I went there with my parents and felt like taking a big punching in the stomac. It was so strong the feeling that I left the place decided to be an artist or, st least, to start drawing. And so I did! Later on I became undecided between becoming a painter, a musician ... or a navy officer. Eventually I made the correct decision, I guess! In that exhibition there was a big painting all blue and I remember commenting that such painting couldn't be art! But the ones which impressed me the most were the impressionists. Digitalis

Hi! Your photo File:Digitalis July 2013-1.jpg could be Digitalis purpurea or maybe something related to Digitalis minor. With this one-sided, rather few-flowered inflorescence and purple flowers it is certainly not Digitalis ferruginea, which has yellow-brown flowers and all-sided, many-flowered and dense inflorescences. Curious

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Admins are neither empowered in any way, nor do we have extra authority over any other user. I closed the discussion as a normal user, and not as an admin. Nowhere does it say, anywhere in our polices, that an admin must be present to enact a community ban or close a discussion. -FASTILY 22:04, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Minimalism

Hi Alvesgaspar! Isn't there any category in Commons to gather all minimalist pictures, like this one of yours? I have tried one myself, maybe you inspired it ;), maybe it's just because I'm focusing on details of things lately, but it's true I liked yours a lot. Well, I think it could be useful to put all these pictures together, but I don't know exactly which ones should be in the category, do you have an idea? Yes, I think those pictures in your gallery fit in minimalism. Maybe we can just create a category named Minimalist pictures (or Minimal pictures?) and put it into the Category:Minimalism, and add our contributions. It's a style, or even a technique. For example, I created categories for panning shots, it can work just the same, although minimalism will be more subjective. Justement, re reviens à la maison après avoir passé le week end à Porto Covo. Le temps était terrible et le voyage de retour en voiture était presque éffrayent! Mais les gens à Porto Covo étaient vraiment excités à cause des élections, parce ils se connaissent tous. Ce n'est pas encore le moment de briguer la présidence de la 'Junta de Freguesia' (Porto est trôp petit pour avor un maire). Quando je prends la retraite de la recherche et de la Photpgraphie (parce que je suis trôp sénile), on verra!
