Motiv

[edit]

-- Gerd Fahrenhorst (talk) 12:31, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your Depictor usage

[edit]

I've reverted your edit earlier this month on this picture where you added the claim that it depicts Roger Corman. Today, I reverted two more edits of yours claiming they depict Osamu Dazai, when they clearly don't. There's also another comment from User:Gerd Fahrenhorst earlier on your page where you added a depicts statement on a photograph that doesn't even include any people.

You should not be using tools like Depictor unless you can use them properly. You should be using your eyes to confirm that they actually include the subject you're claiming. If you cannot devote enough time or attention to do so, do not use semi-automated tools to add incorrect information. Opencooper (talk) 19:19, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you've been continuing to use Depictor at a high rate without addressing the concerns of the other user or my own. Note, you are responsible for *all* edits made using semi-automated tools. If you continue to ignore issues with your edits brought up by editors, I'll have no choice but to escalate this to a noticeboard. Opencooper (talk) 03:48, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, sometimes it's not that I don't want to go by the rules but but it sometimes happened oot of mistake.
My phone sometimes becomes hot alone the line of edit and when it happens that way, you may press one thing and unfortunately, the phone also tap on something else. I am really sorry for the unfortunate things that are happening.
My intention is not to go again the rules. It even pain me anytime it happens that way but I can't also reverse it when it happens so.
But going forward, I will be more careful in my edits. Akakiiri (talk) 09:06, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. If you're accidentally clicking the wrong button, please take more time in the future so you don't misclick, as the extra second is worth not introducing false information into Wikipedia.
What exactly do you mean that you can't reverse it when it happens? If you know you clicked the wrong button, you should be going back and changing that. Additionally, now that people have pointed out problems in your edits, you should be reviewing every single Depictor edit you've made to verify its accuracy and revert the incorrect ones. If you can't take responsibility for your edits and fix all the inaccuracies you introduced, you should not be using semi-automated tools at all. Opencooper (talk) 16:16, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You still have been continuing to use the tool at a high rate. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I'm requesting that you stop using Depictor, review all your prior edits with this tool for correctness, fix those errors, and only then should you continue to use such a semi-automated tool, taking more care before submitting edits in the future and fixing the rare error that might occur.
