How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Привіт! Глянь будь ласка на цей файл. Це явний фейк - будівля явно західноєвропейська, хлопці у російській формі в перемішку із цивільним одягом. Я прибрав із категорій Бердянськ, а також Полк Азов. Важко сказати. Така будівля може бути і в Україні. У полках теж не розбираюся, тож не можу сказати, «Азов» то чи не «Азов».--Anatoliy (talk) 22:34, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
Така будівля може бути і в Україні, але у Бердянську і Урзуфі таких немає. Форма не Азова. І взагалі це не форма - вони у кросівках і цивільних футболках. Жодних розпізнавальних знаків немає. Щоб сказати, що це Азов, я так розумію на знімку мають бути якісь докази що це Азов, а не просто якісь люди із зброєю. --Yuriy Kvach (talk) 15:31, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Question about Category:Folk national costumes of Ukraine

Dear Ahonc, I see you are from Ukraine, I hope you can help me with a question about the Category:Folk national costumes of Ukraine. Some months ago I closed the discussion about Category:Traditional clothes by country and made a lot of the required changes. But there is still one question open about Folk national costumes of Ukraine, see Commons:Categories for discussion/2021/10/Category:Folk national costumes of Ukraine. Could you help me to find the answers to the questions:

  1. What is the difference between Category:Folk national costumes of Ukraine and Category:Traditional clothing of Ukraine?
  2. Can these two Commons categories be merged? (Category:Traditional clothing of Ukraine will stay, the other gets a redirect.)
