User talk:Agguizar~commonswiki
Hola. ¿Serías tan amable de indicar en esta imagen su origen? Si no, es imposible verificar que efectivamente esté en el dominio público. Gracias y un saludo. --Dodo 16:49, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
Hi - you tagged this and several more images as patent - wonder why, thy are clearly not from patens. Please use {{PD-self}} if you want to release your own photos into the public domain (that's near the top of the selection box). -- Duesentrieb(?!) 03:05, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing that. If you have a little time, please update your earlier uploads too - the "plain" PD tag has been deprecated.
Oh, and your signature seems to be broken. You need to uncheck the "auto-link to user page" option in your preferences (signature section), and add [[...]] around what you have in your sig field. -- Duesentrieb(?!) 00:31, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Be more careful please
[edit]Hello Agguizar, could you please have a look at this edit and learn from it which information you have to copy? Only a note "copied from xy" and a wrong license is not enough. Please ask if you need help :-) Greetings --Überraschungsbilder 23:13, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 06:14, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Please help replace this outdated license
[edit]Hello!
Thank you for donating images to the Wikimedia Commons. You have uploaded some images in the past with the license {{PD}}. While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.
The license on older images should be replaced with a better and more specific license/permissions and you can help by checking the images and adding {{PD-self}} if you are the author or one of the other templates that you can see in the template on the image page.
Thank you for your help. If you need help feel free to ask at Commons talk:Licensing or contact User:Zscout370.

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Agguizar. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Agguizar~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
