আপু, অনেকে না বুঝে এখানে কমন্সে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের কপিরাইটযুক্ত লোগো আপলোড করে। যদি এমন লোগো অপসারণের প্রস্তাব দেন ও সেই লোগো যদি বাংলা উইকিতে ব্যবহার হচ্ছে দেখতে পান, কষ্ট করে bn:উইকিপিডিয়া:আপলোড-এ যেয়ে (সংস্থার লোগোর উপর ক্লিক করে) লোগোটি বাংলা উইকিতে স্থানীয়ভাবে আপলোড করে দেবেন। আরো সহজে, bn:চিত্র:সাভার সরকারি কলেজের লোগো.jpg-তে যে টেমপ্লেট ব্যবহার হচ্ছে, তা আপলোডের সময় বা আপলোডের পর যোগ করে দিলেই চলবে।
আপনি নিশ্চয়ই অবগত, বাংলা উইকিতে আমাদের যথেষ্ট সম্পাদক নেই। ফলে ঐ লোগো বাংলা উইকিতে আবার আরেকজন এসে আপলোড করতে করতে একযুগ পার হয়ে যাবে। কেউ ভুল করে কমন্সে লোগো আপলোড করলে, আপসারণ প্রস্তাবের সাথে সাথে, উক্ত লোগো বাংলা উইকিতে স্থানীয়ভাবে আপলোড করে স্থানান্তর করতে ভুলিয়েন না। ধন্যবাদ। আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 17:42, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi, I notice that you have removed categories from the above file, and left a non-existent (red) category in their place. The file is therefore outside the (real) category structure, ie it is an orphan that cannot be located by browsing the category structure. This is a breach of category principles, see the first paragraph of Commons:Categories. Commons categories are not the same as Wikipedia categories, and a red link does not serve the same purpose as there. I hope that you will kindly study and become familiar with Commons:Categories. User Page Deletion Dispute by Rony
Afifa Afrin আপু, আমার ইউজার এ পারসোনাল ৩ টা ছবি সনাক্ত করে আমার ইউজার পেজই Rony.bd ডিলিট করা হয়েছে। Personal ছবি বলতে আপনার প্রোফাইলে যেমন প্রোফাইল পিকচার দেওয়া আছে, এমন টাইপের।
পেজে অনেক তথ্য ছিল আমার, শুধু ছবি ডিলিট করলে হতোনা কি? পুরো পেজই ডিলিট করা হয়েছে।
উল্লেখ্যঃ আমি Wiki love monuments ফটো প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহন করেছিলাম ও সার্টিফিকেট পেয়েছিলাম। ওসব ছবির লিংকে ঢুকলে শুধু প্রতিযোগিতার ছবি পাওয়া যায় (উদাহরনঃ উত্তরা গণভবন প্রধান গেট.jpg বাট User does not exist দেখায়। মানে ইউজার পেজে যা ছিল পুরোই ডিলিট।

Creating new categories for "Aircraft by registration"
Hello. Thank for your numerous edits concerning aircraft files.
When creating new categories for "Aircraft by registration", please NEVER omit the respective aircraft TYPE (like in Category:I-CIGA (aircraft).
By doing that, you are effectively hiding files, because anybody looking for a Cessna Citation can no longer find its files and category.
The aircraft type is the only property of an aircraft that never changes (except for the c/n).
If you don't know the type, please just refrain from creating such categories. You may also ask me, as long as there is a reasonable chance to identify the type.
Have you created more such categories? Please check - there would be little fun in going through all of your edits to control that point. Thank you.

Removal of "Category:Airliners.net photos (check needed)"
Hello again. Please do not remove the Category:Airliners.net photos (check needed), unless all missing data have been added to the file (as long they are available).
For example, in this case you have removed it although the location (Dubai Airport) was readily available.
There are people who, like myself, are in the process of tediously and meticously checking ALL files in that category in order to add missing categories. I personally have have done that for many months. By deleting this "(check needed)"-cat you are taking away the chance to provide all the files with the missing data.
This, however, does not apply to the Category:Aviation files (check needed), into which thousands of useless additions had been added in the past. In this case, feel free to take this cat out.

Dear Afifa Afrin, I saw that you removed all the files from Category:Bangladesh Air Force Museum photographs taken on 2022-04-02 and ask for a speady deletion. That is not the proper way for categories that have recently been made. Speady deletion is only for categories of which it is absolutely clear (also for the person who made the category) that there will be no discussion about the deletion request. This is not the case here. I have put the files back into this category because I think it is a useful category. Please leave these file there for now and make a proper deletion request for the category (via the link on the left) so we can discuss this category and then decide what to do. --JopkeB (talk) 04:27, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

Dear member of the Commons Photographers User Group,
I hope you're well and enjoy taking photos for Wikimedia Commons. Here are a couple of quick updates on behalf of our group:
- Our next virtual meeting will take place on Saturday, August 27. At this point we have two presentations lined up:
- Suitable! Unsuitable! How to choose photos for a Wikipedia for children, “Klexikon” (Ziko)
- The aperture and its (less known) effects (XRay)
- You can sign up for the event on this page: Virtual Meeting on August 27, 2022. – Given that we can accommodate more speakers, I'll invite you to get in touch with me in case you'd like to present on the 27th. You can reach me any time on my talk page or by sending a quick email.
- Also, we now have a page for local events organized by members of our user group: Local events 2022. Please check it out and consider organizing an event yourself!

Wiki Loves Monuments 2022
Hallo Afifa Afrin,
bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2022 findet zum zwölften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments (WLM) statt. Dabei können Bau-, Boden- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich gern wieder ein, dieses Jahr mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!
Vergangenes Jahr hat Matthias Süßen mit einer Drohnenaufnahme von Schloss Langenburg im Morgennebel gewonnen. Welcher Fotograf wird dieses Jahr sein Nachfolger?
Nach WLM 2022 sind wieder zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden – zum Beispiel die Denkmallisten in Cloppenburg oder in Oldenburg.
Wir haben dieses Jahr unter dem Motto „Klein aber Oho“ drei Sonderpreise für Kleindenkmale ausgelobt. Damit sollen Fotos prämiert werden, die die unterschätzten Kleindenkmale wie Grenzsteine oder Bildstöcke zeigen.
Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.
Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Anfang September 2022 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

We are excited again to let you know that, Wiki Loves Monuments, the largest photography competition of the world, will take place for the 13th time this year. And guess what! India is going to participate in the event again this year from September 1 to September 30, 2022. You might remember this competition as you had participated in one of its previous editions. Errors when assigning categories
Good morning (here).
I appreciate the lot of work you are putting into Wikipedia commons. However, now and then you are assigning wrong categories to (aircraft) files.
In this example you put in "2021 at San Francisco International Airport", although the file title clearly states "... San Francisco 19-08-2004.jpg".
I urgently ask you to please be more careful in all edits, especially those concerning my main subject aviation. Thank you. --Uli Elch (talk) 08:56, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Deletion of files with bad file names
Good morning.
1) Why do you remove files from the Category:Images of aircraft with bad file names, which according to the definitions without any doubt do have bad names? Example: G-VYGM, which was named "Riik@mctr - 28988291977.jpg" before?
2) Why do you remove files from the Category:Images uploaded by Rodrigolopes (check needed)? Example: [1], which was named "-i---i- (48440978642).jpg" before, like all the hundreds others with the absolutely meaningless file name file name "-i---i- ..."

These deletions make it impossible to systematically look for all those nonsens file names and to move them by giving them a decent, correct name. Please be so kind and
a) never do that again and
b) re-instate these deletions or, even better, move them directly to correct names. Most of them appear to have been deleted around 12 February 2022. --Uli Elch (talk) 10:31, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, I normally remove these CAT (Images of aircraft with bad file names, Images uploaded by Rodrigolopes (check needed)) after renaming the files. May be one or two was sliped by mistake. Question from the CPUG Board
Dear user group member,
I'm writing you to today on behalf of the board of the Commons Photographers User Group. The past year has been a busy one for us. In 2022, we've had more activities than ever before in the history of our group and you'll find an overview on our group's page.
With that being said, 2022 was also a year of learning for the current board members. Most of us hadn't been involved in running the Photographers User Group and we spent quite some time on getting used to our new roles. We all feel it was a steep learning curve.
That's why, at our last board meeting, we decided to ask our members whether they'd be ok with us serving for another year. Extending our board duties to the end of 2023 would allow us to continue the work we've started this year, and to benefit from the knowledge we've built over the past twelve months.
However, in the end, it's up to you and the other members of our group to decide whether such an extension of our board term should be granted. I invite you to voice your opinion on this page:
