Plaatscategorieën

Zodra een ""Image" een plaatscategorie heeft gekregen, moet men geen bovenliggende roots-categorieen meer toevoegen. De fotos staan in jouw geval goed in de categorie-tree via de plaatscategorieen die zelf in de Category:Limburg staan. Ik heb alle Category:cities and villages in the Netherlands weer verwijderd. Mooie foto's, maar wat een werk om ze in commons opnieuw te ordenen - en dat doet "men" je zomaar aan. Havang(nl) (talk) 10:42, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Er zijn inderdaad veel foto's van mij overgeplaatst van de Limburgse wikipedia naar commons, alhoewel niet alle (begin) foto's dat waard zijn! Dat had ik zelf liever willen uitzoeken, alleen de beste wilde ik overplaatsen. Belangrijk vind ik ook, dat de Limburgse (Limburgstalige) benamingen blijven behouden, en dat is gelukkig gebeurd. De meeste foto's staan ook in de goede categorie, zie ik nu. Nog een vraag: Waarom laten sommige overgeplaatste files de foto niet zien?--Aelske (talk) 13:03, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Misschien vanwege een kleine verandering: umlaut of accent niet weergegeven of zoiets; dat overkwam mij bij franse foto's, daarom ben ik er op verdacht. Dan moet je de nieuwe titel uit commons even in de plaats zetten. N.B. je kunt ook zelf opnieuw uploaden op commons, als je dan {{Nowcommons|hier commonstitel}} aan de wiki-li-afbeelding toevoegt, wordt die t.z.t. gewist. .... en themacategorieën

Zoals je ziet, zijn er ook themacategorieën, per provincie of per land: kerken, boerderijen, etc. Zo heb ik een tijdje terug vanwege jouw mooie fotos een categorie: Castles in Limburg (Netherlands) gemaakt. Nu heb ik ook een themacategorie gemaakt: Category:Wayside crosses in the Netherlands, die je bij je mooie wegkruisfoto's kunt plaatsen. Havang(nl) (talk) 15:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Yes, we generally prefer better quality over worse quality, so please stop trying to intentionally lower the quality of certain images here on Commons. Also, keep in mind that discussion usually achieves much better results than edit-warring. Rocket000 (talk) 09:55, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The quality is not worse at all and thumbnails are different! The images have adequate webquality (72dpi).

(Sorry voor het Nederlands, maar discussiëren in het Engels kost mij te veel tijd en moeite). Pff. Wat een problemen, om één enkele foto van wikipedia weg te krijgen en dat is nu net enkel en alleen de bedoeling. Het verzoek om éen enkele foto definitief te verwijderen heeft een PERSOONLIJKE reden. Het zou toch moeten kunnen, als iemand een vergissing heeft begaan (men duwt zo gauw op een knopje en het is gebeurd) om die vergissing uit de wereld te helpen (deze foto van wikipedia weg te halen). Want er staan nóg drie foto's met hetzelfde onderwerp in mijn lijst van 325 foto's! Daarnaast vind ik mijn foto's niet van slechte kwaliteit, ook al zijn sommige teruggebracht naar webkwaliteit (72 dpi). Wel zijn vroegere foto's, ongecomprimeerd nog wel, van slechtere kwaliteit (andere camera), vind ik. En zo staan er vele slechte foto's op commons, van andere makers, dus waar maakt men zich druk over. En wat doet men dáár aan? Aelske reasons that she now is only concerned about this one picture, File:Tersjtraotewkped07.JPG, which she wants deleted for personal reasons. She already uploaded , which is lower resolution and with a slight difference, but can replace the image. She says she made a mistake, and that anyone can make one: she has a list with over 325 pictures (with three other ones about the same subject) and doesn't care for those, it's just this one she wants removed from Commons. Nogmaals verzoek ik om, nu beide files file:Tersjtraotewkped07.jpg én file:TerstratenNuthwkped07.jpg te verwijderen. De reden is een persoonlijke: ik heb een fotoboek gemaakt met "vakwerkhuizen in Zuid-Limburg" en wil deze afbeelding exclusief voor dit boek reserveren!! Ik heb File:Tersjtraotewkped07.JPG verwijderd (per user request) aangezien die toch niet gebruikt werd. File:TerstratenNuthwkped07.jpg is echter in gebruik en blijft. Maak alstublieft geen fouten meer bij het uploaden. Mvg. Lycaon (talk) 10:58, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ik heb in een e-mail aan mij gericht, het logo gekregen, met het verzoek of ik dit logo wilde plaatsen in het Limburgse lemma Limbörgse Academie. Limbörgse Academie is eigenaar van dit logo.
