User talk:ACDCDude718
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

"AC/DC, a hard rock band from Australia, photo shot in September 2000 in Los Angeles by me"... funny how I don't believe you. Don't lie about copyright or you'll shortly be banned. --pfctdayelise (translate?) 16:24, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- I also marked your other three images as missing source information. I don't believe you are the photographer since they are all over the web. You can prove that you are the photographer by uploading the original high-resolution images, which you would have of course since you claim they are your images. Then there will be no problem. Otherwise, the images may be deleted any time after 7 days.
- Please understand the licensing requirements are not optional! --pfctdayelise (translate?) 16:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
re: about ac/dc pic
[edit]OK, thankyou. Scanned pictures are of course allowed on the site, as long as the original is released under a free license or public domain. pfctdayelise (translate?) 02:33, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
book cover
[edit]Hey,
Just because you own the physical copy of the book doesn't mean you own the copyright to the cover design. Unless you designed the cover, you don't have copyright over it - whoever designed it still has copyright. pfctdayelise (translate?) 02:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello ACDCDude718,
You have uploaded several images that are copyright violations and you have done so despite our requests not to do so, and despite our instructions. If you do not stop uploading pictures that are not free, your account will be blocked. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on the Wikimedia Commons. Please do leave me a message if you have further questions. Yann 22:02, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
