FYI
[edit]File:Japanese Cemetery - Broome.JPG I saw you put this in the category Cemeteries in Japan when in fact its in Broome Western Australia I have put in the correct category. Gnangarra 03:04, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- I made a mistake. Thank you for having corrected category and pointed out this mistake to me.--庚寅五月 (talk) 14:18, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- no worries, Its an easy one to make, given everything was in Japanese Gnangarra 01:41, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
helo 庚寅五月, sorry to bother you, but I have a small request. I tried to make a transcription of the text on the right and I came up with 廣重近江八景全. As a native speaker, could you tell me if this is correct? I am especially incertain about the last character. Accoring to the source of the file this is the name of the publisher (Kawaguchiya Shozō), but if this matches by transcription I don't know. Thank you. Regards, Vincent Steenberg (talk) 14:26, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. Although there is no mistake in the character which you transcribed, it will be better to add spaces like "廣重 近江八景 全" because the text consists of three elements. 廣重 is the author name, 近江八景 is the title, and 全 (Zen) is the volume number notation which means that complete in one volume. The character meaning Kawaguchiya Shozō is not included. --庚寅五月 (talk) 15:34, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- That's very interesting. I had no idea. Maybe the name of Kawaguchiya is mentioned inside the book on the prints only. Thank you very much for your explanation. Regards, Vincent Steenberg (talk) 19:43, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm glad to be of some help.--庚寅五月 (talk) 22:02, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I made the mistake, thank you remind me, how can I change the name? Sorry, I don't know how to swap the file name in wikimedia, can you tell me?--Iflwlou (talk) 13:08, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
Cross namespace redirects
[edit]Hi, please do not create cross namespace redirects. Gallery pages should either contain a valid gallery or remain a red link. Jcb (talk) 16:15, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for pointing that out. According to the former guideline Commons:Galleries#Redirects, I thought that Cross-namespace redirects to categories should naturally be created, but the guideline did't follow the policy of speedy deletion (COM:CSD#G2), did it? It seems that the namespace 0 is for galleries to the last, it is not more than that.
- I've already created many of this kind of redirects, so I will gradually request to speedy deletion of them.--庚寅五月 (talk) 13:54, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, that's true. The guideline was misleading. Don't worry about the existing redirects, we will take care of them. Jcb (talk) 15:07, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- It seems that you've already deleted many redirects. I apologize for the trouble.--庚寅五月 (talk) 14:22, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- No problem, don't worry. Jcb (talk) 15:31, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
