The three pictures are works of mine. They were obtained by taking a screenshot of the live main news of "Venezolana de Televisión" (VTV), the Venezuelan Government Channel. Therefore, there's no web link to refer, and I alredy specified the proper license. However, if there is something else that I need to do, please let me know. Ernest Ambler uploads

Could you please explain what permission information is missing from the two photos that were marked as such in our account's uploads? I'm not sure what else needs to be indicated; they are marked as US Government photos in the public domain, and the NIST Research Library's copyright statement is also included with both files. Please clarify? Thanks.

The photos are available on our NIST Digital Archive website, but we have never been asked to provide a link to a website in any of our previous uploads. They are US government-created photos, and as such are in the public domain. This is our archive website: http://nistdigitalarchives.contentdm.oclc.org/

If you could please tell me specifically what we are missing in our permissions field, I will endeavor to edit them. We will have more files going up in the next few months and I would obviously want to upload them correctly. Thanks.

This image is in the public domain in the United States because it is a work of the United States Federal Government, specifically an employee of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, under the terms of Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US Code.

, or both? We do own the content, we created it, but it is in the public domain. And just to make sure, Image Source is the same as the 'Source' field, correct?

We have a great deal of content that will need to be edited in this case, and it may take us a while to do so. Do you know of any way to batch-edit photos, to add the URLs? I also submitted this question at the Help Desk. Thanks again.

媒体都可以使用微软发布会上的图片，我拿来补充Windows 10和开始菜单的词条，也著名了图片出处，你凭什么说删除，难道要我亲自去发布会拍一张么还是要我自己YY出图片呢？都是Wiki爱好者，有必要这样去针对别人吗？

ОТРС я не обязан давать, если разместил фото и так под свободной лицензией, Вы хотя бы правила посмотрите. I feel there has been a mistake regarding this file (that is now deleted from Commons), since there is no copyright violation : the file is currently published on Flickr under the Creative commons license 2.0, as I have mentioned after the importation process. Il s'agit de la photographie d'un objet, il n'y a pas plus de raison de l'interdire que s'il s'agissait de la photographie d'un appareil photo, d'une voiture, d'un avion ou de tout autre objet portant la marque du fabricant.

Si cette photographie devait être retirée, alors des millions d'autres présentes sur Commons devraient l'être aussi !!!!!

Par ailleurs, comme beaucoup d'autres qui ont disparu, la société Kodak appartient désormais à l'histoire et je ne vois pas bien à qui je pourrais demander la permission d'utiliser l'image d'un objet datant d'au moins 60 ans.

Your permission requests

I looked at few your permission requests and I have some doubts. Cold you, please, explain why do you think a written permission from author/copyright holder is expected for (just examples):

• File:Nityananda Math - Simurali 2015-01-30 5375.JPG
• File:Josh-Kaufman.jpg
• File:CWBS7 .jpg ?

(the first was never published outside commons, tha latter two are obvious copyvios, as {{own}} is applicable to unpublished images only). And plase note, that false deletion requests (which de facto your edit quqlifies) are almost as bad as uploading copyvios. Ankry (talk) 15:34, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Lita Cabellut photos

Some time ago I uploaded some pictures of artist Lita Cabellut to Wikimedia in order to use them for an article I created on Wikipedia. These photos were deleted because of coypright issues, and I managed to get in contact with the artist and get her to send a permission email to Wikimedia (You can find the text below). Your VFC installation method is deprecated
