My grandfather and my namesake, Sri Digavalli Venkata Sivarao was a reputed historian and lawyer who has published scores of books and scholarly articles during his lifetime. Additionally, a large number of his writings are in the form of manuscripts that were unpublished at the time of his passing (October, 1992). Subsequent to my grandfather’s passing, the copyrights to his scholarship were decreed to his eldest son and my father, Sri Digavalli Venkata Ratnam, Advocate and a practicing lawyer based in Hyderabad, India. As his only son, I believe that I have inherited these after my father’s passing in December 2010. My uncle Dr. Digavalli Ramachandra, the youngest son of my grandfather, is a retired banker who has taken upon himself to disseminate the life work of my grandfather on open access internet forums such as the Wikipedia, an intrinsically worthy endeavor that I admire and enthusiastically support. I hereby declare that he has all the necessary permissions to reproduce whatever copyrighted material of my grandfather that he chooses to and I am thrilled that he is able to spend his precious time on this worthy task of improving access to my grandfather’s scholarship. If there are any further questions or clarifications required regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me. Dear Sir, I am disappointed to see all most all the uploads are deleted from my article on my father late Digavalli Venkata Siava Rao [1898-1992] I would like state possible reason for deleting all the uploads including the photographs could be due to apprehension of possible legal problems from unknown quarters. I once again emphasize that those photographs are clicked by me on my camera I have negatives with me, even for that picture taken in 1930s of my father I have negative. My write up is not a commercial venture. It is absolutely academic. The inscription of temple was also a photograph taken in the temple there is no question of copy right. People are curious to see hand writing of great poets like Chellapilla Venkata Sastry that is why I uploaded his letter to my father. The cover pages rather wrapper jackets of my father's books were also deleted. I am disappointed with the drastic pruning of my article which is becoming popular among Telugu people from all over the world. Please reconsider your decision I indemnify Wikipedia (Telugu) if any claims arise on these uploads and my write up. Yours Sincerely --దిగవల్లి రామచంద్ర (talk) 05:43, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
