Biography

ZEFAMAN, real name Hamdan Mayamiko Zefa Banda, is a Malawian young man aged 30. He was born on 19th September 1990 in Nkhotakota district at St Anny's Hospital. He currently holds two degrees, Bachelor of Science in Forestry (obtained from University of Malawi) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (obtained from International Open University).

Hamdan has worked with a number of organizations as of 2020. He is a rising entrepreneur and owns Niffah Technologies (https://niffahtechnologies.com).

He is married and has two kids. Currently he is staying in the old capital of Malawi - Zomba.

Family

He is the first born in a family of 4. His parents live in Blantyre district and his three siblings stay in Blantyre.

Education

Hamdan went to Naotcha Primary School where he got his Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLC) in 2004. From there he went to attend his interviews at As-Salaam Boys Secondary School in Mangochi district where he was among the selected candidates. He stayed at As-Salaam Boys for just an academic year and in the second year, he was transferred to Al-Baakir Boys Secondary School in Zomba district. He was known to have questioned the mistreatment of students by the Boarding Master at As-Salaam Boys. This did not only cause him to be transferred from the school campus, but also to be the most strong student who could stand for the welfare of his fellow students.

At Al-Baakir Boys, he was much more concerned with improving his Islamic knowledge though the teachings were limited. He did not do well there in terms of secular education and had to repeat the final class to get the certification for university entrance. He rewrite his Malawi School Certificate of Education at Zingwangwa Progressive Secondary School in Blantyre district. He did well and passed with good grades. When he took the entrance exams, he was not selected in the first attempt. He did not give up on his dreams so he went for the second attempt where he got his selection to University of Malawi - Bunda College (now known as Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources). He graduated at Bunda College in 2015.

Since he had the passion in computers, after graduating from Bunda, he further looked for a scholarship online but was not successful. When he moved to Zomba, this is where he met Qassim Yasin who introduced him to International Open University online programs. He finally enrolled to IT (Information Technology).

He has also got a certificate in Da'wah (obtained from iERA), and a diploma in Islamic Studies (obtained from International Open University).

Contributions

He has done many seminars in training youths as well as women. His trainings focus on entrepreneurship and computer skills.

He has also written a number of Books that are yet to be published.
