==Background Information == Katavi institute of science and development studies (KISDES) was established as educational institution under the act of parliament No. 1. of 1990 and started to operate in April 2018, with full registration number REG/BTP/094 for the department of social sciences under NACTE. In adding, the institute is registered under VETA with registration number VET/KTV/PR/021/C/039 which it offers VETA course such as Information Communication Technology (ICT), Tour guiding management and Hostility and Early Childhood Education (ECE) under ministry of science and technology, although some disciplines have been added like electrical installation, Laboratory assistances, secretarial, and pharmacy. The overall control and supervision of the institution is vested in its advisory board and principal. The trend of students joining our college is increasing but at a slow pace, currently the total number of students who are active is 209.
