Tips and tricks
  • Photos may not depict any architectural work.
  • The primary main subject may be another.
  • May be applied the De minimis (DM) policy.
  • Skyline of city is OK by DM, as long as it's not focused on any one building.
  • Utilitarian objects are NOT affected by the no-FoP.
  • Need to identify cases don't meet the threshold of originality.

Attention: Upload only photographs taken of buildings whose architect died before 1954.
Photographs taken of buildings located in Italy can only be uploaded to Commons if the copyright on the building has expired, because the Copyright Law of Italy forbids the publication or commercial use of photographs taken of copyrighted buildings. The copyright term in Italy for buildings is the lifetime of the architect + 70 years + the end of the calendar year. See COM:CRT/Italy#Freedom of panorama for more information. Photographs taken of other buildings will be deleted if unfree.

  • Trivial? --AVRS (talk) 12:12, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
What does it mean "trivial"? Raoli ✉ (talk) 15:03, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Commons:Threshold of originality. --AVRS (talk) 18:02, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
In Italy the level of originality, required for copyright protection, is very low. What's the trivial file? Thanks Raoli ✉ (talk) 18:09, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
The bridge part in the file above my message. --AVRS (talk) 20:04, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
Ah, ok, I think you are right. Can I remove the file from the list? --Raoli ✉ (talk) 21:31, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
