POMSOE FC

POMSOE FC, Port Moresby School of Excellence is a youth development football club that was founded in 2010 by Wayne Taylor, president of the PNG school soccer association. currently participating in the PMSA association in Port Moresby at the Bisini soccer grounds.

History

in 2010 a group of 13-17 year old boys had participated in an U23 division, winning the minor premiership and coming 3rd in the knockout stages. 10 players from the 2010 squad had been trialed for the U17 national team, 1 missed out due to injury. in 2011 an U17, U21, women's premier and Men's premier were formed. The Men's premier side has 2/3rd of 16 - 17 year old's that had played in the U17 2011 OFC tournament in New Zealand. The men's premier side's best result in their 1st season in the 2011 PMSA premier division puts them at runners up to Yamaros FC due to a defeat of 4-3 in penalty shoot outs. Goal scorers Daniel Taylor attacking Mid fielder/ Right wing, Numa Kilah left wing, Rodney Mobiha forward/ centre midfielder and Lap Embel center forward had shown the path to making it through the final stages.
