ELECTRIC MOTOR Electric motor as the name (electric implies) is an electric machine that convert electrical energy to mechanical energy, the photo above shows the coil which is winding insulated wire (Copper, Iron or aluminum) round a soft iron called STATOR.

The insulated wire is wind in series so as to match the holes of the STATOR.
