Hei.

Project

[edit]

I have a (partly) funded project here in Finland to gather information on a wide range of venues that could be used as stages for theatre, rock bands, film, art events etc. Part of that project would be to list the available equipment and this is where this site could be most helpful. This looks like a very convenient place to gather the equipment data and with the help of producers and technicians here in Finland we could be able to collect a large amount of useful information of all sorts of technical equipment.

Manuals

[edit]

From my point of view the most helpful information about the product would be the manuals (then perhaps the potential software update pages and of course the general contact pages). I have not yet plunged too deep into the copyright issues, but uploading the actual manuals onto the site may currently be a bit of a difficult task. Does anyone here have deeper insight of that?

Anyway, even the linking of manual documents on this site would really make things a lot easier!

Collaboration & Questions

[edit]
  • I would really like to start collaborating here, but would like to be able to discuss my the ideas with someone. I would need to define some categories and maybe start a language version of this site in Finnish. How would that suit the administration?
  • I will be creating a separate site to gather information on the venues, but would really like to link from that sites list of equipment to this site. I hope this would be ok?
  • And finally, has this site yet been suggested to the Wikipedia foundation? This could be eligible for a side-project status, maybe? That would really create more publicity and gather more interested contributors..
