Born in Bethesda, Maryland weighing in only 3 pounds 110z, and 15 inches long. Justis Bratt went through artist development for four years, and it wasn't until Justis reached the age of seven that she released her first single, What It Do. What It Do became an anthem for children worldwide. Once the music video for the single posted to Youtube, within an hour it received over 1,000 views, being only seven years old, that was an impressive achievement. Justis' first performance occurred when she was ten years old, at the Henrico County Theatre. Justis did not headline the show, although she most definitely dominated the audience. By the time Justis left the stage, she left the crowd wanting more.

" It was the best day of my life, it will forever live in my memory, because that was the day I knew in myself that the stage was where I needed to be. I can't think of myself doing anything else, besides entertainment. " Hollywood Starstruck Entertainment (UTC) Justis Bratt, interview with The Corner.

Justis Bratt was not her original name when she first started music. As an up-and-coming artist her name was Baby Boo at first, but after a few months it was later was changed to Justis Bratt. In an interview, Justis says the reason she changed her name is because when she was on the computer with her mom one day, she decided to look up her name, to see if she showed up yet on google, but was surprised to find out that nothing besides baby baboons appeared in the search results. Justis Bratt wanted a name that only SHE would appear in, so she came up with the name Justis Bratt, being that her legal first name is Justis, and on stage she would dress in vibrant colors, and bold outfits, much like the Bratz Doll, but she didn't want to steal the Bratz Doll name completely, so she changed the name in her own style.

In her younger years Justis bratt took part in an organization/underground artist label named The Clean Music Movement. The Clean Music Movement produces and promotes non-explicit music, made especially for the younger generations.
