I am currently attempting to rectify a grave error made sometime after my father Alfred de Grazia passed away. A picture of a soldier standing in front of a pile of dead bodies dusted with lime or some insecticide was uploaded to Wikicommons and is being used by Holocaust deniers and others in support of their various madnesses and crimes (Holocaust denial is a crime in some countries). Now, the picture cannot be removed, as far as I know, but I have made a note asserting that to my certain knowledge, the photo is not of my father Alfred de Grazia.
Here is my oath:
I Solemnly Swear that the Photograph known as Capt.Alfred de Grazia at Dachau concentration camp, ca May 1st 1945.jpg is not a picture of my father, but of some unknown soldier. I have seen a photograph of him under similar circumstances, but this is not it and I do not know its whereabouts; it may lie in the Library of Congress along with the letters written to my mother Jill de Grazia.
