Funcrunch, aka Pax Ahimsa Gethen, can also be found at funcrunch.org. I'm active primarily on the English Wikipedia; find me there.
I specialize in event photography. Though musicians are my favorite subjects, I've shot quite a few photos at rallies and protests since the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
In August 2023, I was named Media Contributor of the Year for the 2023 Wikimedian of the Year awards.
From January 2020 to April 2022, I worked for the San Francisco Office of Transgender Initiatives. The photos I took and published in the course of that employment are in the public domain, per the California Public Records Act; as such I have added Template:PD-CAGov to the licensing information for these files (as well as Template:Personality rights, which applies to all of my Commons photos containing human subjects). I contribute to Wikimedia on my own time; no one pays me to do so.
Virtually all of the images I upload to Commons were taken by me, with a handful of exceptions for photos taken of me. Some of my images (full list here):
Quality images (reviewed and promoted as such by other editors):
Some of my photos have been shared frequently in various news sources and blogs. Thanks to those who are correctly attributing the photos to me, Pax Ahimsa Gethen, and not just "Wikipedia" or "Wikimedia Commons" (or not giving credit at all).
