Rob and Phil first met in 1984 in a mining village called Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire in the UK and were introduced to each other by another musician and long term friend. At the time the guys shared similar interests in music and started hanging out together. The early days were more of a party rather than a performance, as they shared some wild and wonderful times whilst establishing themselves as musicians, as all teenagers do.

The boys were in several different bands around this time and going to gigs was a big interest too. Their first jam together was in 1988 with the aid of an Atari ST computer, Cubase and two track recorder at Rob's house. The results were live recordings which featured Phil's amazing guitar skills and Rob's outstanding bass and vocal talents. Their first recordings also included some of the classic M1 sounds and sequenced drums. The demos started something special that stuck in their minds for years to come.

The two musicians were also involved in other projects while playing together and after performing some live shows, Rob moved to London in 1989 and Phil went on to perform with his own band. As time passed the guys realised just how much they missed playing together and occasionally jammed together and recorded the odd song.

Due to Rob's showbiz schedule with several recording artistes and additional live shows, it was impossible to take things further on a long term basis together for quite some time. After several meetings and discussions, Rob and Phil finally began working on the Showtime album in January 2007.

On completion of the album the two musicians still continue to write together and are currently working on a second release in between live performances with other musicians.
