View of the Geiranger Church, the surrounding cemetery and the famous Geirangerfjord in the back. The parish church belongs to the Church of Norway and is located in the village of Geiranger, Stranda Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The wooden church was built in a octagonal style in 1842 by architect Hans Klipe but on the same spot there had been previously a stave church, which was torn down in 1742 and a second one that was burned in 1841. +/− [en]
