Dr Zahid Pervaiz remained Medical Superintendent of Mayo Hospital for two terms 1999-2001 and 2009-2013. Medical Superintendent of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from 2001-2003. Medical Superintendent of Jinnah Hospital from 2003-2009. Director General (DG) Health Services Punjab (BPS-21) from 2013-2015. Chief Consultant Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab, Pakistan from 2016-2018. He was awarded Civil Award "Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his meritorious services in health sector by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 23rd March 2015. Currently working as Medical Superintendent in University of Lahore Teaching Hospital, Lahore,Pakistan.
