Different types of Chinese numismatic charms or "Yansheng coins" in Hội An, Vietnam.

I maintain this list 📃 to try and find books on Chinese numismatic charms and amulets to import to Wikimedia Commons, often these books are scattered, some are on Box 🥡 others on Google Books 📚 or CoinCoin, and others in private vendors, finding these books is hard enough but then I also have to check which book is in the public domain and which one isn't as the copyright rules are different from country to country.

List of (possible) books 📚 for import

[edit]
  • Wakan kokon senkakan by Kuchiki Masatsuna (和漢古今泉貨鑑) Section 7: Chinese amulets (1798). Note 📝: Weirdly has “Bank of Japan © All rights reserved” written all over it. (Link 🔗)  Not done, uncertain 😩 copyright ©.
  • Horse Coins. The file is 52.6mb and 342 pages total. This book was written and published in the Tokugawa Shogunate by Chobei Tennojiya. ✓ Done.
  • US-only website as  Not done, however could be relevant for others who come across this page to download PD books 📚.
  • texts Annam: études numismatiques by Albert Schroeder. Publication date 1905. Not on Chinese charms and amulets, but don't know where else to list 📃. Quote from François Thierry "Essential work but ended with Dong Khanh/Thanh Thai currency; Mind to the bad American reprint that is not complete and in which all historical documentation part is missing ! In French." which means that there is an inferior American version in circulation.
