Dariush Borbor, Persian (ﺪﺍﺮﻴﻮﺵ ﺒﻮﺮﺒﻮﺮ) was born on April 28, 1934 in Tehran, Iran (Iran who's Who, Echo of Iran, Tehran, 1974, p. 113. https://www.academia.edu/11197111/Borbor_Dariush). He attended primary school in Iran, and at the age of twelve he went to the United Kingdom for his secondary schooling at Sherrardswood School, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire where he obtained his General Certificate of Education, Advanced Level (University of Cambridge) in 1953 (Dictionary of International Biography: A Biographical Record of Contemporary Achievement, vol. 14, International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, U.K., 1978, p. 84; https://www.academia.edu/11033824/Borbor_Dariush). He specialized on "Architecture of Hot Dry Regions" at University of Geneva. In 1961, he returned to Iran.
