Dariush Borbor, Persian (ﺪﺍﺮﻴﻮﺵ ﺒﻮﺮﺒﻮﺮ) was born on April 28, 1934 in Tehran, Iran (Iran who's Who, Echo of Iran, Tehran, 1974, p. 113. https://www.academia.edu/11197111/Borbor_Dariush). He attended primary school in Iran, and at the age of twelve he went to the United Kingdom for his secondary schooling at Sherrardswood School, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire where he obtained his General Certificate of Education, Advanced Level (University of Cambridge) in 1953 (Dictionary of International Biography: A Biographical Record of Contemporary Achievement, vol. 14, International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, U.K., 1978, p. 84; https://www.academia.edu/11033824/Borbor_Dariush). After which he went to the University of Liverpool where he obtained his Bachelor of Architecture in 1958 and the Master of Civic Design in 1959 (Men of Achievement, Melrose Press Limited, Cambridge, U.K., vol. 6, p. 74; https://www.academia.edu/11004483/Borbor_Dariush). He specialized on "Architecture of Hot Dry Regions" at University of Geneva. In 1961, he returned to Iran.
