Cynthisa is an urban polymath living in Riverside, California, USA. She has worked at various times in her 40+ years as an electronics assembler, aerobics instructor, nuclear physicist, wedding photographer, wildlife biologist, technical writer, urban planner, medical assistant, script supervisor, biomedical illustrator and sign language interpreter. She has credits in both IMDb and Medline, and published her first peer-reviewed article as an undergrad at California State University, Long Beach. She graduated from CSULB in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Terrestrial Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She likes beaches, but loves big cities. San Francisco, California, and Florence, Italy, being tied as her favorites. (She has yet to see Paris or London, but hopes to once the economy improves.) She reads almost anything, but prefers science fiction (big shock, huh?!?) She is happily married to her spouse of nearly 5 years and the proud parent of five "fur babies" - three cats (another big shock, right?) and two dogs who think they are cats. All rescues. Her husband is currently planning an intervention to pry her iPad away from her...possibly while she sleeps. Chances of success are slim.
