Village pumps

[edit]
  • COM:VP is the general purpose village pump, aka Commons:Village pump. A mix of VPM and VPP back at enwiki.
  • COM:VPR, the proposals pump. Better known by aliases COM:VPP or COM:VP/P, since there's no policy village pump.
  • COM:VPT, aka COM:VP/T. Run of the mill technical village pump.
  • COM:VPC, aka COM:VP/C. A village pump for discussing copyright issues - seeing as commons mostly handles media.

Deletion process

[edit]
  • COM:DEL, COM:DR, or COM:RFD. This is the deletion requests page - AFD, TFD etc all rolled into one. Nomiations are best through the "Nominate for deletion" option in your toolbox - Twinkle lite.
  • COM:CSD aka COM:SPEEDY. Criteria for speedy deletion. There's some similarity with enwiki, but also many differences.
  • COM:UNDEL, or COM:DRV (other aliases exist). All requests for undeletion go here, WP:REFUND and WP:DRV rolled together.

Templates

[edit]

You're not going to find infoboxes here, but what about utility templates?

  • {{Ping}}, {{Re}}, {{Reply to}} all work.
  • {{Tl}} works for you template minded folks. {{Tlu}} is replaced with {{Tlr}}. Tlu is tlr with example invocation. {{Para}} works as normal.
  • {{Copyvio}} - Copyvio speedy deletion template. 1st parameter is reason, takes an optional |source= parameter.
  • {{Speedy}} (redirect to {{Speedydelete}}), generic speedy deletion template. There's no handy option for "criteria" for speedy deletion, just explain.
