Hi, Its Avik here. I am from a small town in India, but I think of myself to be an important member of this global village. I spent my childhood in a large family and those relations impinged a strong sense of global brotherhood within me. My vision towards life is “Help and get helped, Save and get saved”. I have always been curious to different aspects of life and the subjects dealing with them. This leads me to study some externally very much different but inherently connected subjects like Physics, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety. I want to advance my career in the field of occupational health and continue research in related subject.

Some more info about me which will prove to be important before you go through:

   * Very much lazy when I find anything boring, be it my study or anything else.
   * Much interested about photography, in fact I prefer Flickr over orkut/Twitter/Blog
   

I love animals, probably more than the humans. People ( my near and dear ones) say I am very much casual towards my relations with others. I don’t disagree, man. I love them and I trust that they are the true judges of my character.

I live with my mom,dad and my brother. There is also my grandpa. Besides you will find a cage full of small birds, hell lot of squirrels playing in the garden, one or two stray dogs (they prefer to sleep in our house than on the roads)…

I love to cook, I love to click. Clicking includes clicking of both camera shutters and mouse. In fact, these three are my 3 favorite pass times.

I am not quite a health freak. So got a large profile with bulging belly. I love to eat too…

I am not a bookworm, but reading good story books is something very much appealing to me. Don’t ask me to define God damn “good”. I don’t know. I love Sarat Chattopaddhyaya (Bengali), I love Harry Potter Series, I love Paulo Coelho, Dan Brown etc. etc. etc.

I am not much movie freak, though I own a good collection of English movies. I like comedy, my life is already quite complicated, so don’t want an atmosphere of melancholy and depression in the theater.

Cannot remember about anything else to put here.. More when I will have a surge of idea…
