Alexander Stovbur (born on May 15, 1943 in the city of Omsk, Russia). Works in the field of monumental easel painting and graphics. Graduated from Odessa Art College, Fine Art Department (1971). In the late 1960s joined the group of Odessa non-conformist artists who were later called the representatives of underground. He started to exhibit his works at unofficial, so called “apartment” exhibitions (1973). A member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1987). One of the founding members of “Choven” group of artists (1993) and “Mamay” Creative Union (1998) in Odessa, Ukraine.
