Appearance

Boston-based photographer. I mostly photograph public transportation, trains, and aircraft.
I take some of TransitMatters' photos, and you may see my work there on some of their reports and other media. They have specific permission to use my photos without attribution, but otherwise my work is usually under CC-BY 4.0.
I also occasionally transfer images from Flickr by others.
Current photographic goals
[edit]Stuff I'm currently trying to photograph (or find good free-licensed photos of):
Done A more up-to-date picture of Silver Line Way usable for the infobox image (I've been repeatedly foiled by the MBTA parking a bus in the middle of the station, which prevents getting a good shot that shows both platforms)
- Well-lit pictures of United Airlines' Boeing 777-200, Boeing 787-8, and Boeing 787-10, in the latest livery, pointing left, and against the sky for United Airlines Fleet
- Photos for Delta Air Lines Fleet and American Airlines Fleet
- A well-lit photo of a JetBlue A321neo in the latest livery for JetBlue Airways
- A better picture to represent Brighton, Boston
- A picture for Brickbottom (Somerville, Massachusetts)
- A sharper and higher resolution picture of Route 28 in Somerville, MA
- Pictures of MBTA Commuter Rail trains with nice backgrounds
- Well-lit pictures of MBTA subway rolling stock
- A better lit photo for EMD GP40-2
- Various pictures for List of MBTA yards, especially Arborway (old), Everett (also old), and Fellsways (no image)
- A better lit photo of Watertown Yard
- A more up-to-date picture of Watertown Square
- A better lit photo of Coolidge Corner
- A daylight photo of the mini-high platforms at Wellesley Square station
Stuff I'm trying to photograph for the Commons without any particular Wikipedia article in mind:
- Pictures of Runway 9 take offs at Boston Logan Airport, with the Boston skyline in the background
- More pictures of aircraft with landing gears up (most pictures on the Commons are gears-down)
- Aircraft in foggy or stormy weather conditions, or with lots of wing condensation or vortices
- MBTA heritage locomotive #1129
I also take a lot of pictures opportunistically when I'm out and about.
