We already have a template for adding country for Wiki Loves Folklore. Kindly see {{Wiki Loves Folklore 2023 country}}. It works in sync with our upload wizard which is used to automatically categorise the images as per the selected country. In this particular template, the customization is about the design of the tag. For example, the English version of the {{Wiki Loves Folklore 2023}} is as follows:

At the pace the Brazilian Portuguese version is like this, where we changed the logo to avoid confusion with lusophone users, as folklore is a false cognate in Brazilian Portuguese:

In regards of the country selection (which I believe is in another template), I couldn't find this template you shared at the time of my edits. I will merge the edits to use this in conjunction with the SDC part of the code, if not used in other countries, at least in Brazil we need to use that.
