1. replace all occurrences of parameter "place" with "thing"
2. Group item History of "thing",
   • replace "for" template parameter "call" with call=Things by decade/aux1
   • replace parameter "pc2n=place" with "pc2n=thing"

Notes on miscellaneous changes

• St. Petersburg appears to always be Saint Petersburg; e.g. Category:Saint Petersburg in the 1900s.
• The -2 decade was always missing from the nav list.
• Scotland is a country not a State/Province/Oblast.
• Ottawa is a city not a State/Province/Oblast.
