Section linking on non-user talk not working

[edit]

Does not work as advertised:

{{Talkback|Commons talk:Naming categories|Foroa's obstruction|tp=1}}
Hello, Talkback. You have new messages at Commons talk:Naming categories#Foroa's obstruction.
You may remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I used this one as workaround:

{{Talkback|Commons talk:Naming categories#Foroa's obstruction||tp=1}}

I tried to find the bug, but was stopped by the autotranslate mechanism, ironically. ;) Paradoctor (talk) 16:12, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It works for me. On the first one the "new messages" part links to Commons talk:Naming categories#Foroa's obstruction. --Yarnalgo (talk) 03:20, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, ok. Nothing against redundance, but as demonstrated by geniuses like me, there is potential for confusion. Would it be possible to have both links point to the same target, or better yet, only have one link? I mean, if you point to a section, you get to the page anyway. Paradoctor (talk) 04:38, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done One link now. --Yarnalgo (talk) 07:31, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To do

[edit]

Make

{{talkback|Commons:Village pump|tp=1}}

work without "tp=1". --  Docu  at 10:06, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deprecate

[edit]

Can this be tagged as "deprecated" by {{ping}} + notifications? It's excessively spammy on user talk pages (example). @Anarchyte: demo, cf. cross-wiki notifications. –Be..anyone 💩 02:27, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What parameters or protocol do i have to follow in order to post a nude picture or MEDIA that will not be deleted by you?

[edit]

I love this site first of all. Ive been coming here for years because its so damn informative. I posted a few pics that were not considered educational. This bothered me because my pose was just like every other guy on there, but my description wasn't. Was that my problem? Or what can I read from this site describing your rules? Only terms of use? That's all I need to know. once again, FRIGGEN AWESOME SITE . FOR people of all ages, races etc. Just perfect I must say. !! • @Jimbo808637: Signing your posts on talk pages is required by Commons:Signatures policy. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and a timestamp will then automatically be added when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Uploaded Image Not Reviewed for a long time

[edit]

Dear Admin,

Im writing this failing to do a supposedly simple task of changing the Wiki BIo Image of my company CEO. I have a creative with me which is solely owned by our company which I would like to replace the current image on https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%AE%D9%84%D9%88%D8%AF_%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%86 .Profile Where the image needs to be Replaced The article was created by en ex-employee whose email I cant access now.The same image is currently the Profile Pic of her on LinkedIn. This image is not published anywhere else online. I followed all the instructions specified by Mr. Paulo as in Ticket "[Ticket#2018073010002083] [Ticket#2018073010002092] release of خلود العميان.jpg " but It is still not reviewed. So what shall I do now to get this image to show up instead iof the current one?

Ticket:2018073010002092 was merged to Ticket:2018073010002083, which was approved, allowing File:خلود العميان.jpg to stay and now be used by three Wikipedia articles, plus Wikidata.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 13:40, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I need to delete my uploads

[edit]

Please help. When uploaded, public domain of uploaded files was agreed on but only verbally. It seems the person with the voice in the audio I uploaded has changed her mind. I really need to remove all files I have uploaded here and have no idea how to accomplish that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phinaeus (talk • contribs) 06:30, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, it seems you deletet File:Guaynabo barrios map.gif . This file lacks en:Threshold_of_originality and cannot be copyright protected. The shapes of the boundaries can only come from U.S. federal census resources. Please undelete.--Ratzer (talk) 10:12, 23 June 2019 (UTC) Look here, for example. That's where all the boundary information originally comes from. Copyright by boricua.com? Ridiculous!--Ratzer (talk) 10:22, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ratzer: Please make such undeletion requests at COM:UDR, rather than here.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 14:26, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Presenting Norman Mailer nominated for deletion"

[edit]

The title was a bad choice and I have requested renaming. The image has a right and left aprt. The left part is a digital composite graphic - my interpretation of Norman Mailer's personality; the right part is a text graphic from Sinclair Lewis' last interview and I have all rights to it. Tis image is part of a series that memorializes Sinclair Lewis' last interview in graphics. My aunt did the interview in 1948 and gave me all the materials and told me the story. I received a copy of the newspaper version from the librarian at the Chelsea, Ma. Library. I would like to spare the image from deletion. Thank you for your consideration.
